Sam Gaita was born into real estate. A New Jersey native whose family roots in the industry go back three generations, he grew up visiting development sites and rental properties.
But in forging his own path to a career in real estate, Gaita began at Wall Street, working as an investment advisor for UBS. That blend of real estate experience and financial expertise enabled him to start his own development and property management business in Miami.
Now, as Director of Investment Sales for Douglas Elliman in Miami, Gaita brings his wealth of experience to a career specializing in investment properties, rental management, luxury development and property management.
“A degree in finance, previously holding a Series 7 license, and my experience being an award-winning developer is key to skillfully devising extraordinary income-producing real estate deals and provides me the insight to manage complex transactions,” he said.
Indeed, Gaita’s skill and expertise are a perfect match for his home market.
“Miami stands out as a premier global city,” he said. “What I love most about Miami, regardless of real estate markets or the economy, I see that there are always avenues to generate opportunities and develop fruitful investment positions for my clients.”
In addition to representing out-of-state developers, investment fund managers, and high net-worth individuals, Gaita is also Vice Chair of the Florida Vacation Rental Managers Association and has been a featured expert on multiple real estate-related television shows.
“I was a host for The Jet Set, Jet Set Homes, Travel in Style and The Luxury Travel Show, which featured the properties listed by the vacation rental division of my property management company,” he said. “Leveraging my expertise in the industry, I have a keen understanding of the factors that attract guests while traveling. It was one of the highlights of my career because I love sharing my knowledge with others and the experience equipped me with insight to support my hospitality-focused clients.”
For Gaita, the work is more than a career—it’s a calling.
“Through deep meditation, I have discovered that my life’s purpose is to add value to everyone I come in contact with,” he said. “I ensure every deal is done to the highest level of my capacity, so my clients have the most successful experience possible.”
