Sierra Interactive has been around a long time but still manages to innovate. If you’re a small team, large team, or brokerage, Sierra Interactive has everything integrated into one tidy, fully featured package. Agents choose Sierra Interactive because they’re looking for an all-in-one sales ecosystem—a powerful customer relationship management (CRM) system, expert lead generation tools, ad management, and stylish website design.
It’s not inexpensive, and it’s not ideal for a single agent starting out. But if you’re planning on scaling as you build your business, you’ll want an integrated real estate website builder that generates leads, automatically populates into a sophisticated CRM, and provides high-end lead conversion tools.

Sierra Interactive pricing is pretty good for everything that comes with it, and I like that you can further customize a la carte by purchasing additional texting credits and ad marketing. While it’s definitely on the high side compared to others on this list, it comes with so much capability that the return on investment is clear.
Templates & Customizability
One of the biggest selling points for Sierra Interactive is that their websites are designed to be part of an entire lead generation and conversion ecosystem. That means their sites are created by experts to maximize search engine optimization (SEO), fully integrate with the CRM, be IDX-ready and user-friendly, utilize lead gen tools, and look beautiful.
On the plus side, there’s little design work to do and few choices to make, but on the other hand, there is little in the way of customization. The templates are elegant and streamlined, but for the most part, a Sierra Interactive website looks like a Sierra Interactive website—which is not a bad thing.
IDX Capability
Sierra Interactive sites are fully IDX-capable and take it a step further by making it easy for visitors to search your entire site. Ease of Use & Customer Support
I find Sierra Interactive to be very easy to use. Because the templates are limited and customization is pretty basic, there aren’t too many rabbit holes to tumble down. The company gears its product to busy teams and brokerages, so they want to make it as easy to use as possible.
If you do need help, you can reach Sierra Interactive through their email portal, which is fast and effective. I wish I had a direct line to an actual person, but the email option, plus access to the resource center, should provide solutions to almost any problem.
Where Sierra Interactive Comes Up Short + a Great Alternative
If you already have a CRM that you love, Sierra Interactive probably isn’t worth the investment. It’s more expensive than other all-in-one website/lead generation/CRM solutions. It’s also better suited for agents who’ve got some years of experience under their belts. Those who want to make less of an investment and need a product that is better for newer agents should look at Real Geeks. Real Geeks has many of the same tools and features as Sierra Interactive, but at a lower cost. Because Propertybase is so comprehensive and robust, it’s not the most intuitive system to set up—many with Salesforce platform experience can attest to its famous unwieldiness. But once you’re familiar with all the ins and outs and bells and whistles, it’s smooth sailing.
Propertybase provides a wide variety of helpful information in their support center, including a collection of articles and walk-throughs of the most frequently asked questions. If you aren’t finding your answers there, Propertybase provides 24/7 email support and phone support from Monday through Friday during business hours.
Where Propertybase Comes Up Short + a Great Alternative
You get a ton of functionality with Propertybase, but with that comes a hefty price tag. You really won’t get the most out of the platform unless you are using the website and the CRM together. Websites for agents and brokerages start at $1,000 per month, plus a $750 onboarding fee for their Launch package, which is ideal for one to three agents. The next step up is their Grow package at $1,550 a month plus a $1,550 onboarding fee, designed for teams or brokerages of three to 10 people.
Templates & Customizability
There are three different templates and each one is attractive, features the local area, and can be customized. But because BoomTown websites are designed for large teams and brokerages, customization is somewhat limited. If a team or brokerage has a specific request that can’t be achieved within the framework of the existing themes, BoomTown says they will work with you to try to design a custom solution (at an additional cost).
IDX Capability
BoomTown includes IDX in all their base packages. As with any IDX integration, there are forms and contacts you have to make with your local board to authorize access to that service for your site, but BoomTown is trained to help, so it’s an easy part of the setup and done during your initial onboarding.
Lead Capture
BoomTown offers standard lead capture options on each of their templates, including custom landing pages, pop-ups, and lead capture forms, plus BoomTown also offers ad management. What really sets BoomTown apart is its sophisticated lead distribution and pipeline management system, which makes it easy to see how each of your team members is progressing. All in all, BoomTown is the most efficient lead capture platform on our list.
CRM
BoomTown’s crown jewel is its CRM, which provides a clean, easy-to-use interface and comes with its own version of predictive technology, which helps agents differentiate between hot and warm leads. Also, the CRM offers an interface with your MLS through IDX.
This last feature is especially nice—it allows you to create custom email updates for your leads when a property hits the market without having to leave your CRM and actually log on to your local MLS site. You can do all the typical things a CRM offers: basic email marketing and automation as well as tagging and bucketing contacts. And since you’re linked up to your website, you can see all the activity your leads are engaging in on your site right from their profile.
Since BoomTown is designed specifically for enterprise-level businesses, there are also some great lead routing options, team management tools, and even training modules you can set up for new agents to reduce their learning curve and help them start producing sooner.
Ease of Use & Customer Support
BoomTown is a powerful but complicated tool. This is not an up-and-running, out-of-the-box setup experience. It’s not the most intuitive platform, and it will take some time and dedication to really learn all that it can do.
To help, BoomTown offers phone and email support during U.S. business hours. We tried out both and had mixed results. We sent an email on a Wednesday morning requesting support on a website template and never received a message back.
Our phone support was a better experience, but there was no explanation as to why we didn’t get an email back on our question. Other reviews of the BoomTown platform have echoed similar experiences. BoomTown does have a pretty extensive library of resources available to customers to help with questions, so we suggest you start there rather than jumping straight to the phone or email.
Where BoomTown Comes Up Short + a Great Alternative
While BoomTown is a great option for teams or brokerages, it might be hard to see why, unless you really dig deep into BoomTown’s website and marketing materials. They are relatively opaque about their prices, and require a demo with a sales agent before you can really get your hands on the products you’ll be using.
Brokers or team leaders who want to kick the tires on their own first are going to have a hard time here. Propertybase, discussed above, is an excellent option for teams and brokerages that want a little more clarity before diving into such a major investment.

If you need a real estate website builder for your brokerage or team and want one of the most impressive CRMs in the industry, BoomTown is the best place to get it. Yes, it’s a little pricey, but you get a lot for your money. And even though there’s an investment to be made, running an enterprise-scale business requires investment on a large scale if you’re going to support the success of multiple agents.

5. Squarespace: Best Website Builder for Design
I’ll be honest. I strongly prefer real-estate specific website builders for real estate agents, teams, and brokerages. While you can cobble together the tools that agents need with widgets and plug-ins on sites like WordPress, GoDaddy, and Wix, they’re never going to have the same efficacy and overall power of a Sierra Interactive or BoomTown. However, my one exception is Squarespace.
If you really care about design and the look of your site is crucial to your overall brand, consider Squarespace. It provides the most templates, design flexibility, and options of any on our list, including contact forms, photo carousels (perfect for featuring properties), blogs, video, and calendars for scheduling appointments.
Because it’s not a real estate-specific platform, they’re missing lead gen elements (such as a built-in CRM and lead capture landing pages), but the platform integrates pretty well with major CRMs and outside lead capture platforms. This makes it a great choice to the real estate professional who already has a suite of business development tools they like.
Overall, Squarespace is an affordable, open-world option for real estate professionals who want total control over their website’s design and don’t mind spending the time and energy needed to integrate their website with separate real estate-necessary products.

Squarespace is incredibly affordable, starting at $16 per month (paid annually). Most real estate agents will find the Business Plan, starting at $23 per month, is the way to go, as it offers on-page lead capture, integrated Gmail, and other premium design elements.
Templates & Customizability
The templates and customizability of the Squarespace platform are its strongest features. If you have a very specific brand aesthetic, an active blog with lots of content and content types, or if you’re a video wiz, you want a bespoke website that will highlight those advantages. Also, Squarespace offers 30 different templates for landing pages—perfect for pairing with your social media-driven lead capture efforts.
IDX Capability
Squarespace offers full IDX integration capability, but you must first subscribe to an IDX provider such as Ultimate IDX, which acts as a bridge between your MLS and your website. It’s not seamless and requires more effort on your part, but it’s a good work-around if you choose Squarespace.
Lead Capture
The lead capture options supplied by this non-real-estate-specific provider are a little more generic, but they’re still effective. Squarespace offers lead capture forms, sitewide pop-ups, and a handy announcement bar displayed at the top of your site, visible no matter how far someone scrolls on a page.
CRM
Squarespace doesn’t offer an integrated CRM. This is definitely a drawback, as it means that all the leads you get through your website have to be transferred and managed somewhere else. Squarespace offers built-in integrations with Mailchimp for your email marketing and Zapier for your standalone CRMs. However, you don’t get all the benefits of having your website working directly with your CRM to track lead activity. But this might be a benefit if you already have a CRM that you like.

Squarespace is going to take a little more work because of the need for external integrations. Creating the site itself is actually pretty fun, because the design elements allow for so much creativity. However, making the site function the way you need it to will take extra effort.
Squarespace doesn’t have dedicated phone support listed on their website, but offers live chat help during business hours, which I found easy to use and helpful. Their email support professionals answered my question the next business day. The active peer-to-peer network of troubleshooting guides is also excellent. That’s where I found answers to relatively obscure and complicated coding questions and innovative suggestions on customization.
Where Squarespace Comes Up Short + a Great Alternative
If you want a website that is fully optimized for the real estate industry, Squarespace is going to take you a lot more time and effort, and it won’t always be easy. If you are design-conscious, have a healthy budget, and want a site specifically built for real estate, consider Luxury Presence. Offering some of the most aesthetically pleasing templates, Luxury Presence comes with an entire marketing team that helps you maximize your social media presence, strategize for SEO, and build your brand.

6. iNCOM: Best Real Estate Website Builder for a Budget
iNCOM provides effective, attractive real estate websites at a relatively low cost. Its price includes a makeshift CRM, integration with social media platforms, and real estate-specific landing pages that will convert your incoming lead traffic better than a generic website landing page.
One of the biggest add-ons that iNCOM offers is their ReCall Marketing strategy, a website retargeting service. Visitors to your site see ads for you, your listing, or even an open house, when they visit other sites on the internet.

Templates & Customizability
With iNCOM, you have access to six standard templates, and for an extra fee, you can get a few more in the “premium templates” area. Website layouts aren’t very customizable, and you can’t manipulate many features beyond color schemes and fonts. However, you do get unlimited pages, which is ideal for hosting a blog, videos, and even checklists for new homebuyers and sellers.
IDX Capability
iNCOM websites are all IDX-enabled and ready to connect to your local MLS. This is definitely one of the benefits of working with a real estate-specific website builder, rather than going through a generic provider like Squarespace.
Lead Capture
Agents can take advantage of custom iNCOM landing pages or trigger a gatekeeping “user registration” after a certain number of properties or pages are viewed. This strategy is more in-your-face than the optional pop-ups on other sites, but can also provide you with more qualified leads.
CRM
iNCOM has a relatively limited built-in CRM to help you manage the leads you get from their website—it pales in comparison to the one from BoomTown. You’ll probably want to partner your iNCOM website with another platform, but it is nice to have an integrated CRM that gives custom alerts whenever you’ve got lead activity on the site, making prompt follow-up easier.
Ease of Use & Customer Support
iNCOM is relatively easy to use. Because they don’t have all of the bells and whistles of a Propertybase or BoomTown, their features are fairly straightforward. If you do need customer support, it’s easy to access and prompt in follow-up. They offer phone support during U.S. business hours and 24/7 email support. I submitted a question via the email support system on a Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. and got an answer back within three hours, including an invitation to speak on the phone if my problem wasn’t resolved.
Where iNCOM Comes Up Short + a Great Alternative
While iNCOM’s website templates were attractive and useful, their lack of design flexibility is challenging. For example, there is no template that adequately addresses the needs of small to medium-sized real estate teams. They have websites for brokerages and large teams, but no solutions that are ideal for three or four agents working together.
If you’re looking for an inexpensive real estate website builder with more flexibility and additional features, consider AgentFire. While not as budget friendly as iNCOM, they create really well-designed, highly optimized sites for a fraction of the cost of the others on our list.
